Hibiscus has been our iconic hallmark for it's abundant richness for skin & hair. It's notably a "magic" herb found in almost every culture around the world, all throughout time. On our trips to Egypt we enjoyed Karkade tea nightly with honey & fresh mint. It was served iced or hot and was absolutely magnificent. Hibiscus flowers offer a tart herbal, richness similar to a cranberry, but with a soft floral note. The tea is rich in antioxidants and nourished the body internally and externally.
We brought this hibiscus back from Egypt for it's exceptional high quality and delicious taste.
Add a pinch of hibiscus to a glass of water to infuse and make your water more exciting.
To enjoy a cup of hot tea: Add boiling water to your teacup and add one or two flowers. Allow to steep for 2 minutes then remove the flower. Add 1 teaspoon of Hibiscus honey, raw honey or whatever sweetener you prefer. Enjoy as is or with a fresh sprig of mint.
For Iced Tea: Bring 2 quarts of water to a boil. Add 1 cup dried hibiscus to the water and let steep for 10 minutes. Use a strainer remove the flowers from the tea, then add your sweetener. Honey or raw organic sugar is best. Serve over ice and fresh mint.
