COFFEE IBRIK Ibrik is a small long-handled pot with a pouring lip designed specifically to make Turkish coffee. It is traditionally made of brass or copper, occasionally also silver or gold.
- Use your serving cup to measure out how much water you will need and add the water to the ibrik. If you don’t have a traditional coffee cup, any small and narrow cup will work best to retain the foam.
- To the ibrik, add the desired amount of coffee (1 heaped tbsp for traditional style), sugar, and cardamom (if using) to the water and stir well.
- Place the ibrik over medium heat. After about 4-6 minutes (depending on how much water you are using) before the coffee begins to simmer, you will notice a foam rising to the top.
- After the coffee starts to boil, remove from heat and pour slowly into your coffee cups. Try to pour so that the foam in the coffee cup remains undisturbed. Do not stir once you have poured the coffee.

FAYOUME OASIS DESERT SAND The Fayoum Oasis in Egypt holds a fascinating geological history that traces back to its origins as an ancient ocean. Millions of years ago, during the late Eocene and early Oligocene periods, this region was covered by a vast sea known as the Tethys Sea. Over time, geological shifts and the movement of tectonic plates caused the sea to recede, leaving behind remnants of marine life and sedimentary deposits that now form the foundation of the Fayoum Oasis.
The evidence of its oceanic past is evident in the layers of marine fossils, shells, and coral reefs found throughout the area. These remnants provide valuable insights into the prehistoric ecosystems and climate conditions that once existed in this part of Egypt. Today, the oasis is a unique blend of desert landscapes and remnants of its ancient marine heritage, making it a compelling destination for geologists, archaeologists, and nature enthusiasts alike.
The sands of the Fayoum Oasis are imbued with the essence of this ancient land, carrying within them the stories of millennia and the whispers of timeless mysteries. Collected with care and reverence, each vial of sand from the Fayoum Desert embodies the spirit of exploration and adventure, inviting you to connect with the awe-inspiring wonders of Egypt's natural heritage.
